Swizz Beatz Announced As Chair Of “Friends of Bronx Arts” Committee

On Tuesday Dec. 6, Grammy Award winning artist/producer Swizz Beatz was recognized as chair of “Friends of Bronx Arts” committee during the inaugural “Bronx Arts Recognize” ceremony, which was held at club Avenue in New York City. Serving as an ongoing supporter of the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, Swizz Beatz has now solidified a partnership with the school establishing a long-term leadership position and decision-making role.  Assisting the school with achieving its fundraising objectives Beatz is committed to providing academic intervention through arts & enrichment activities, which will help students receive an additional 3hrs. of instruction each week during the after-school program for 300 + Bronx Arts students.

Sponsored by TyKu, the “Bronx Arts Recognize” event also announced Maria Carmen del Arroyo (New York City Council Member), Frances Engoron, Russell and Barbra Granet, and Edward Wilson as chair for the “Friends of the Bronx Arts” committee; Gathering many supporters including Carla Facciolo of VH1’s “Mob Wives,” and DJ Runna.
