Eat.Drink.Stay | Washington D.C.

Posted by Flores on Wednesday Aug 11, 2010 Under #NowEating, Lifestyle

As host to visitors and transplants from around the world, Washington D.C. benefits from the constant immersion of different cultures. Despite D.C.’s true lack of restaurant districts found in many other cities, you can find almost any cuisine here, from Burmese to Ethiopian. For this reason D.C. is one of my favorite places to dine.

The GlamBar Gets A Facelift

Posted by KodakBoi on Monday Aug 9, 2010 Under KidduNot Exclusives, Lifestyle

Same open. Whole new glam! All day Saturday, tastemakers in the city of Atlanta had a surprising experience at the newly designed GlamBar, as they celebrated the re-grand opening of the salon in Castleberry Hills… A ‘re-grand opening’ you ask? Pretty much that means the salon was being renovated, while it was still open for business! Over the past few months, the salon has been through a significant “face lift” with interior improvements, and redesign of the shop. The new look is much bigger, fresher, cleanermore glittery and tons more pink!! It was the ultimate beauty affair as celebrities including Flavor of Love’s Cristal “Serious” Steverson, BET’s “Frankie & Neffe” star Neffe, the show’s co-star Dariel, Dr. Miracle’s PR Director Shanon Stanislaus, and many others industry socialites made appearances at the hip new salon.

Kodak Boi …”When I Was 8…”

Posted by Flores on Thursday Jul 29, 2010 Under Lifestyle

When I was  8, I would wake up and play with wrestling figures…now all I play with is FIGURES! As a little boy, I always had big dreams. I never quite knew what was in store for me as a [INDUSTRY AGE] year old man, but I knew that I’d fall somewhere in the field of entertainment. Two years into a project, also known Kiddunot.com, I have been blessed with the ability to do what makes me happy. Although I am far from my ultimate goal (which seems to get bigger every moment), I am truly blessed to say that I am still the same little boy who had big dreams at the age of 8. With the constant hustle instilled by my family and encouraged by my friends, I am ready and excited to enter another year of big dreams and even bigger accomplishments.

Thank you all for the thoughtful birthday wishes I received yesterday via phone, twitter, facebook, and mailbox!

P.S. I love you all!

“Kocktails w/ Kodak” Rooftop Party Pics [2 Year Celebration]

Posted by KodakBoi on Tuesday Jul 13, 2010 Under Lifestyle

The entire weekend was dedicated to KidduNot’s Anniversary celebration, including our “Kocktails’s w/ Kodak” Rooftop party at The Glenn hotel, Sat.  July 10th. My blogging career commenced approximately 2 years ago in 2008. Understanding my frustration with the portrayal of African American lifestyle bloggers, my friends suggested that I consider starting a blog of my own. 2 weeks later what you know today as ‘KidduNot’ was born. A Taste For BlockHeads!

Posted by J.Cherry on Monday Jun 28, 2010 Under Lifestyle

Outside of the computer desk, or manufacturing office, New York weekends could be a major drag! So in effort to escape boredom, and spark up our summer afternoon Coco and Breezy, footwear creator Brittany Sade, and myself decided to treat ourselves to lunch @ one of New York City’s popular get away spots, BlockHeads! Reasonable Mexican dishes, and $4 dollar margaritas [virgin's on the side] was everything we could ask for — especially when a BUDGET’s my bestfriend! Fellow blogger Angel of ConcreteLoop.com and photographer Taj Washington also stopped by to get in on the burrito entires, and frozen margaritas! Read More

Street Style: Mike In Miami

Posted by KodakBoi on Friday Jun 11, 2010 Under Lifestyle, Street Style

Spotted on South Beach, local retail associate Mike Durham feels like men could be just as ‘fashion forward’ as the women — even in basic white-tees. In a shirt that took him only 5 mins to create, he displays an edgy, but more masculine vibe. He compliments his ensemble with a pair of worn-in Teal Chuck Taylors & True Religion jeans.
